On September 17, 2020, CIMC Raffles held the ceremony for successfully launching of Antarctic Provider project was held on the CIMC Raffles Yantai base.

The vessel is built for Aker BioMarine company and it will operate in Ant Norway Antarctic fishing area and South America ports, fuel oil supply for fishing vessels, and stuff work shift transportation.

Vessel Information

Antarctic Provider with a length overall 167.6m, breadth molded max 27m, depth molded 18m, draft design 7m, speed design 15 knots, classified into DNV GL and mainly for krill product transportation.

The vessel is featured with 4 high-capacity cargo holds which gross capacity is up to 40,000 cubic meters and a moveable crane on top of each cargo hold, being able to handle the loading and unloading operation in a special environment, satisfying Polar Code Rules with superior requirements in the extremely challenging Antarctic environment.

The vessel is equipped with a hybrid power propelling system and advanced heat recovery system, with great fuel economy, which can further reduce carbon emissions.
