CSSC Hudong Zhonghua delivered the 5th 15,000 TEU to CMA CGM

On February 28, CSSC Hudong Zhonghua, delivered the fifth 15,000TEU ultra-large container ship “CMA CGM ADONIS” to its partner CMA CGM.

The christening and delivery of the ship mark the successful conclusion of the project of five conventionally powered 15,000TEU ultra-large container ships built for CMA CGM.

The ultra-large containership has a total length of 366 meters and a width of 51 meters. It meets Tier III emission standards of IMO and the requirements of EEDI Phase Ⅲ. The 15,000TEU boxship features energy-saving and environmentally friendly performance. The ship is classified into BV.

Recently, CMA CGM has conducted biofuel bunkering in Singapore for its first ship. The group of vessels on trial to be bunkered in Singapore will be up to 32 vessels.

At present, Hudong Zhonghua is preparing for the construction of 6 13,000TEU ultra-large dual fuel powered container ships for CMA CGM, and the construction is planned to start in March.
