FPSO retrofitted MV32 successfully completed all module hoisting works and moved to the later stage of integration and debugging; FPSO retrofitted “Fulin” wheel completed the installation of the bow outer turret extension structure (TSS).
In order to ensure that all modules of MV32 can be hoisted before the Spring Festival, the MV32 project team has arranged hoisting plans on an hourly basis for the hoisting projects of the last two modules to ensure the continuity of module hoisting. After the module hoisting is completed, the MV32 project will focus on promoting the module pressure package inspection (MC), module commissioning, and integration with the main hull. The MV32 project has a total of 37 topsides modules with a total weight of more than 40,000 tons. Among them, the heaviest module exceeds 3600 tons. The highest module of the project is the Torch Tower, with a height of more than 175 meters, all built and installed by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry. In order to ensure the safety and efficiency of the module hoisting operation, the project team coordinated resources in a unified manner and worked with the technical center and workshop to plan and formulate a hoisting plan, which ultimately ensured the smooth completion of the module hoisting work and was highly praised by the shipowner.
“Fulin” is the first single-point mooring FPSO modification project undertaken by Dalian COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry. Different from the traditional multi-point mooring FPSO, the single-point mooring FPSO has a vane effect and is suitable for operations in sea areas with relatively harsh environments.
