DSIC delivered a 300,000DWT VLCC New Corolla to CMES

On December 10, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry (DSIC) held a christening ceremony for the 300,000DWT VLCC “NEW COROLLA” built for China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES).

The delivery of the 300,000DWT VLCC is on the running VLCC construction plan from CMES. In early July and October, DSIC delivered the 307,000 DWT VLCCs “NEW ERA and NEW AMBITION” respectively.

NEW COROLLA” has a total length of 333 meters, a width of 60 meters, and a depth of 30 meters. It has been classified into the DNV classification society. The ship can operate in most ports in the world.

This series of vessels not only has excellent overall indicators, but also reliable operating and environmental performance, meets the HCSR coordinated common structure specification, meets the latest nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide emission requirements, meets the requirements of EEDI in advance, and meets the Convention on Hazardous Substances of EU SRR, etc.

In addition to this VLCC series, CMES has awarded another shipbuilding contract of the Aframax 115,000DWT crude carrier.

Through continuous successful projects, CMES and DSIC shipbuilder have leveraged their position in the shipbuilding industry, increasing the competitiveness of both parties in the oil tanker market.
