On July 14, DSIC delivered another 115,000-ton crude oil/product tanker “MAERSK SILVIA” to A.P. Moller – Maersk. The ship is the 5th ship in a series of 10 ships built for Maersk. Representatives of all parties attended the delivery ceremony and signed the delivery documents.
“MAERSK SILVIA” has a total length of 250.0 meters, a molded width of 44.0 meters, a molded depth of 21.9 meters, and a deadweight of 115,000 tons; the cargo compartment area is a double hull, double bottom, single deck, and longitudinal frame structure; the cargo compartment is divided into 6 cargo holds, 1 for slop tanks and 1 residual oil tank, 6 ballast tanks are arranged on both sides of the cargo tank. This series of ships have excellent fuel-saving and good cargo-carrying performance.
“MAERSK SILVIA” is a new generation of crude oil/product oil tankers.
Nearly half of the ships of this series have been completed, and the ship construction period and construction quality are becoming mature and stable. During the construction of “MAERSK SILVIA“, all parties worked together to ensure the smooth delivery of the ship, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction and delivery of other ships.
