FKAB brings innovative designs in ESSBERGER’S VESSELS

FKAB Marine Design, an expert in the Ice Class vessel design, received the new building project of 4+4 X 6 600 DWT DF stainless steel chemical tankers, from John T. Essberger. These vessels are built at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Yangzhou) Dingheng Co Ltd. in China. FKAB is in charge of designing all the vessels, as appointed by the ship’s owner. The design is processed through both FKAB offices, Sweden and China.

Based on Essbergers high-quality requirements, FKAB brings innovative and advanced technology in ship’s design to these vessels. All vessels are very low fuel consumption and focus on low environmental impact, high flexibility, using the FKAB’s proven modern lines with F-Bow and LNG as the primary fuel.

The propulsion system is a single screw DF main engine, designed with full battery / UPS power, preventing onboard blackouts.
