Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) received another VLCC to its fleet from DSIC

Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) successfully received delivery of the 318,000 DWT very large crude carrier (VLCC) built by DSIC’s Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry on May 28. 

KOTC has set sight to double its fleet by 2040.

Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry developed the VLCC independently. The design has met the international pioneer standards in terms of performance indicators, energy conservation, emission reduction, and environmental protection.

The ship is in line with Tier Ⅲ, HCSR standards, and is equipped with advanced equipment including ship energy efficiency management system, ship stress monitoring system, stationary gas detection system, and anti-piracy system.

  • Total length: 333.00 meters, 
  • Breadth: 60.00 meters, 
  • Depth: 30.50 meters, 
  • Design draft: 20.50 meters, Structure draft: 22.50 meters.
