Liberian shipping company awarded LNG carrier order to KSOE

Giant South Korea shipbuilding KSOE has received an order for an LNG carrier.
The Liberian shipping company details remain to unveil.
The contract has a value of KRW 215.5 billion (around $190 million), KSOE revealed in a stock exchange filing on 2 July. According to an order, KSOE’s unit Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI) will build the vessels.
The newbuild is expected to be delivered by mid-November 2023, according to KSOE.
What is more, KSOE has obtained the order for two 174,000m3 LNG carriers to be constructed by its unit Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). The deal is worth $1 billion (1.1 trillion won) for building ten ships, of which two are LNG carriers.
