The two newbuild LNGCs from Maran Gas Maritime will feature the tank design from GTT.

As part of this order, GTT will design the tanks of the vessels which will each offer a capacity of 174,000 m3. The tanks will be fitted with the GTT NO96 GW membrane containment system, a technology developed by GTT.

DSME received the shipbuilding order from Maran Gas this November. These newbuild LNGCs in DSME will feature the ME-GI high-pressure dual-fuel power engine and high-end reliquefaction equipment. The design and construction are optimized to improve fuel efficiency and greatly reduce pollutant emissions

Deliveries of the vessels are scheduled for the second half of 2024. The contract also opens the construction of the other 2 LNGCs.

Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, declared: “We are pleased to pursue this partnership of excellence with DSME and Maran Gas Maritime. The GTT teams are proud and exciting to continue to support our partners in their decision to use our membrane technologies widely recognized by the LNG industry”.
