NTS has launched two 160,000 DWT crude carriers smoothly

On December 24, New Times Shipbuilding (NTS) has held a successful launching ceremony for two 163,000 DWT crude oil carriers in a row. The order is from Greek shipowner DYNACOM, which previously placed a series of five 163,000 DWT crude oil carriers.

With the support from tugs, the launching of 23# and 24# were carried out respectively.

These crude oil carriers this time are 274 meters in length, have a molded width of 50 meters and a structural draft of 17.15 meters. The operating speed is about 14.5 knots.

The carrier is designed with 14 cargo holds and featured MAN BW 6G70ME-C10.5 Tier III. The carriers are shaped in the energy-saving targets. Furthermore, the carrier has a range of operation of about 21,500 nautical miles and is equipped with 3 generators. The generator, the generator power is 1200KW, one emergency generator, the power is 350KW.

The third and fourth carriers of this series are on a plan to launch on December 27.

In early November, NTS successfully delivered the fourth tanker to its partner BIHAR.
