Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding’s first large cruise ship prefabricated cabin production workshop started

On February 24, the first large-scale cruise ship H1508 prefabricated cabin production workshop of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding started. Wang Qi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, Chen Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, Zhou Qi, Deputy General Manager, Liu Jianfeng, Chief Technologist, Fabrizio Ferri, CEO of Fincantieri (China), and the shipowner, CSSC Fincantieri (China). and cabin general contractors attended the groundbreaking ceremony, which was presided over by the Interior Engineering Department.

The total area of ​​the large cruise cabin prefabrication workshop is about 12,000 m2. As a key component of cruise ship construction, cabins are numerous, difficult, and wide in the interface. Completing the prefabricated cabins in the factory ahead of time and then boarding the ship is the mainstream mode of cruise ship construction in the world, which can effectively improve the construction efficiency and quality, and greatly reduce the risk of material sticking on board. At present, the production line has been set up and debugged, the cabin production materials and staff are all in place, and the production stage is about to begin.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Fabrizio Ferri extended his heartfelt thanks to the project participants such as Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and the general contractor of the cabin for their joint efforts and sincere cooperation. The start of the prefabricated cabin workshop is an important milestone in the construction of the large cruise ship H1508, which opened the prelude to the peak period of cabin construction. It is hoped that the shipyard and the general contractor will continue to treat each other sincerely and work together.

Wang Qi thanked all the partners for their contributions. He pointed out that the official launch of the cabin prefabrication workshop represented a new stage for the interior decoration of H1508, and also marked a new level of cooperation between China Shipbuilding Corporation and Fincantieri Group. We hope that both parties will work together with the goal of the smooth delivery of H1508 to jointly tackle difficulties and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of China’s cruise industry.

2月24日，外高桥中船首制大型邮轮H1508预制舱室生产车间开工。外高桥造船党委书记、董事长王琦，党委副书记、总经理陈刚，副总经理周琦，总工艺师刘建峰，芬坎蒂尼（中国）CEO Fabrizio Ferri以及船东、中船芬坎蒂尼邮轮产业发展有限公司、舱室总包商代表参加开工仪式，仪式由内装工程部主持。

大型邮轮舱室预制生产车间总面积约1.2万平方米。舱室作为邮轮建造的关键组成部分，数量多、难度大、界面广。提前在工厂完成预制舱室建造后再登船安装是目前国际上邮轮建造的主流模式，可有效提高施工效率、提升施工质量，并且大幅降低船上材料堆放风险。目前生产流水线已经组建并调试完成，舱室生产材料和工作人员皆已就位，即将正式进入生产阶段。

在开工仪式上，Fabrizio Ferri对外高桥造船、舱室总包商等项目参与者的共同努力和精诚合作致以由衷的谢意。预制舱室车间开工是大型邮轮H1508建造中重要的里程碑，拉开了舱室建造高峰期的序幕，希望船厂和总包商继续真诚相待，携手努力。

王琦对各位合作方的贡献表示感谢，他指出，舱室预制车间的正式启动代表着H1508内装工作进入了新的阶段，同时也标志着中国船舶集团和芬坎蒂尼集团的合作达到新的高度，期待双方以H1508顺利交付为目标，通力协作，协同攻坚，共同为推动中国邮轮事业的高质量发展添砖加瓦。
